The VSSNA Welcomes ÌÒÉ«ÊÓÆµ's Sophia Hall as the Director to the National Association of School Nurses

This past weekend in Washington DC, Sophia Hall, Miller's Run School Nurse was inducted as the Vermont State School Nurses Association (VSSNA) Director to the National Association of School Nurses (NASN). This is a 4 year term. 


The VT-NASN Director is a member of the NASN Board of Directors working to establish a process for the mission, goals, and planning strategies for the association.

  • Acting as the official spokesperson from and to the affiliate organizations
  • Providing leadership for membership recruitment.
  • Meeting with education and health organizations to communicate NASN policies and concerns regarding school health and school nursing.
  • Encouraging leadership development of school nurses.
  • Advocating for standards of care, for school nurses, school nursing, education, children, and health.
  • Developing, monitoring, and evaluating programs implemented by NASN.
  • Thinking strategically to identify relevant professional issues for presentation/action by NASN.
